My innate good taste is not limited to fashionable clothes and beauty stuff. It extends to other choices that make up my lifestyle.

Restaurants – A lot as I mean it “a lot.” I lived and worked in Makati before. They say it is the city for any business expansion not discounting good food, best stores and excellent hotels. I admire the most restaurants in Shangri-la Hotel specifically Chinese and Japanese ones: Senju, Inagiku and Summer Place. I feast for seafood.

Pig-Out Food – Here in Davao, on the top of it is Chop Suey. Vegetables will always be along side any viand to help me with my digestion. When rushing, I drop by Kookel’s to order one. It only costs PHP80 or less than $2. Believe it?? I also fancy Jic n’ Jacs Cakein d’ Box located in Victoria Plaza, Bajada. . in Victoria Plaza. They offer various cakes from sliced to specials. I keep on coming back for Supermoist Chocolate Cake.

Coffee Haven – I am not really a drinker for coffee but it is most convenient to grab on when you have a meeting or just plainly feeling sleepy. It perks me up. I prefer my coffee to be cold. Usually, i buy my fave larcecapuccino from Landco Corporate Centre branch of Blue Gre as it is just beside my workplace.

Drinks – Not much that I go out for a gimmick nowadays. I usually go to the Hawaiian Bar at the Venue Compound or Chili’s in F. Torres. With an order of fries, I enjoy sipping my Iced Red Tea while others go for a couple of beers. I recall an article about it relating the iced tea as a communist drink. It is overwhelming that someone bothers to put a political attitude to a thick, tall glass of the reds.

Magazines – I subscribe fashion and style magazines such as InStyle and YES! It is much easier to scan over these things than really taking time to read novels and long articles though I take time to read thick-paged books. With magazines, it closely relates to everyday living. There is a lot of articles that catch my attention from love, lifestyle, sex, computers, reviews and others.

Celebrities – Aside from my little girl who never happens to be a celebrity anyway, I admire Angelina Jolie. She is the best actor for me and I have watched all of her movies from being a youngster in Hackers to playing the role of Lara Croft and recently, the sexy Mrs. Smith. I’ve got plans already for her Beowulf. For men, I go for Kurt Russell, Tom Cruise, Leonardo DiCaprio (since playing a role in Blood Diamond) and Nicholas Cage.

Movies – My all-time favorite is The Shawshank Redemption with Tim Robbins as Andy Dufrense and Morgan Freeman as Ellis “Red” Redding. It was made in 1994 and was directed by Frank Darabont based on the Stephen King novella, Rita Hayworth and Shawshank Redemption. I also treasure Taking Lives, Notting Hill, A Beautiful Mind, Blood Diamond and a lot more to mention.

Stores - When I was in Dubai, I always check out G2000 for corporate clothes and Charles and Keith, a subsidiary of NineWest, for good and reasonable priced shoes. Locally, I pick stuff from Bench, Mags, Celine, Mendrez and Surplus Shop.

Vacation – I dream of going to Boracay. It is not that it is too far from where we are now but it is more of having the ample time to relax. We work too hard and I think we really deserve a dream vacation. While abroad, we spent most of our leisure time going to the Jumeirah Beach in Dubai. It is always great to feel the sand over and above my feet.
